The adidas Y-3 Ren “Black” is a positively forward-leaning silhouette from the high-profile collaboration between Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas. Since 2013, Yamamoto has applied his craft in unison with adidas’s willingness to cook up outside-the-norm designs packed with the latest footwear tech and premium materials. The upper of the Ren sneaker is comprised of a layered black mesh fabric that allows for optimal breathability while remaining supportive. White embroidered 3-Stripe branding is woven into the material and wraps around the midfoot of the design. An exposed black stitch adds tonal accenting to the look while large white Y-3 branding appears on the tongue tab. Completing the look of this space-age silhouette is a protruding white rubber midsole that juts out from the heel and forefoot with a torsion plate supporting the arch in the midfoot. Black
