The Sneaker Politics x Saucony Shadow 5000 is a limited collaboration between the New Orleans-based sneaker boutique and Saucony. This celebratory release of the Shadow 5000 honors New Orleans’ open-aired coffee shop, Cafe De Monde, and their delicious delicacy, the beignet. The classic Saucony Shadow 5000 runner is laced in three brown-hued leather overlays that resemble the famous fried donuts. Underneath, white speckled mesh evokes the powdered sugar every beignet is covered with. Sneaker Politics and Saucony branding appears on the white mesh tongue, with Saucony branding in green on the heel.
