The Nike PG 2 "Mamba Mentality" is a special edition colorway of Paul George's second signature model that originally released on April 13, 2018 to celebrate Mamba Day, a "holiday" created by Nike to celebrate Kobe Bryant playing his final NBA game in 2016. The basketball shoe's color scheme is inspired by the Nike Kobe 6 "Prelude Pack." The vibrant pair features a purple mesh upper, volt branding on the tongue and midsole, teal laces, and an orange ankle collar. The colorful animal graphic wrapping the heel is similar to the one used on the Black Mamba's Kobe 6 "Prelude Pack" signature sneaker.
