The Asics Gel-Lyte III OG “Emerging Market” salute's the retro performance runner's rise to popularity in Europe in the 2000s. After gaining traction in Japan, the Gel-Lyte III caught on as a casual shoe in the European market before reaching its ultimate form as a global lifestyle icon following collaborations with Ronnie Fieg and Kith, among others, in the early 2010s. Here, the red, white, and blue color block of the “Emerging Market” edition draws inspiration from the United Kingdom’s Union Jack flag. Details include a lightweight white mesh base with contrasting navy blue suede panels on the toe and heel. Supple tan suede detailing marks the eyelets, collar, and mid-panel. “Gel-Lyte III” branding appears in red text on the lateral side of the aforementioned navy suede heel panel and blue “Asics” text is printed on the back of the shoe.
