The Awake NY x Asics Gel Kayano 5 360 is the New York streetwear label’s first foray into footwear. Having released two models of the Gel Kayano 5 360 in 2019, this particular colorway pays homage to founder Angelo Baque’s hometown of Queens, NY. The silver mesh upper, and green suede overlays play to Baque’s time spent in Flushing Meadows Park as a kid, including a nod to the park’s iconic Unisphere. Asics’ new 360-degree GEL cushioning technology provides familiar comfort the brand is known for, and dual Asics and Awake NY branding can be found on the toe.
