The sleek low-top was introduced way back in 1972 by track coach Bill Bowerman citing the importance of runners needing a shoe that could withstand varying terrains. Withstanding time and fly-by-night trends, the Cortez has endured as a premier lifestyle shoe in modern times. Here, a blue nylon material covers the mid-panel and forefoot and is contrasted by tonal suede eyelets. A white leather Swoosh appears on the mid-panel while a tonal suede heel cup with embroidered “Los Angeles” branding completes the look of the children’s sizing of the iconic Nike Cortez Basic GS “Deep Royal.”
