The AriZona x adidas Continental 80 “Green Tea” is one of the four limited edition releases from the collaboration between the beverage company and adidas from the summer of 2019. The pack included the Continental 80 and Yung-1, each in two colorways inspired by the Iced Tea and Green Tea flavors of the popular canned drink. This Continental 80 represents Green Tea with a bold teal leather upper embroidered with pink flowers to replicate the look of the can. The collection was released on July 19, 2019 at a pop-up shop in New York City, but because each shoe was sold for only 99 cents as a reference to the price of an actual can of the tea, large crowds created chaos and the event was shut down by the NYPD before all pairs were sold.
