The Nike Air Tailwind ‘79 “Parachute Beige” is a retro-inspired colorway of the vintage running shoe. Debuting in 1978 for the Honolulu Marathon and then released in ‘79, the original Tailwind, the first Nike model to feature the brand’s now-signature Air cushioning technology, has returned as a popular lifestyle silhouette. Keeping the same core features intact, the modern reissue is constructed in the lightweight build of the original release in mesh and suede with full-length Air cushioning. This colorway features a Parachute Beige nylon mesh upper with matching suede heel and toe box panels, and a waffle traction patterned rubber outsole.
