The Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship is a collaboration between the BMX rider and Nike on a colorway of the retro basketball shoe with vintage details. This rare sneaker was produced only for Sylvester and his friends and family in very limited quantities. Sylvester, one of the greatest BMX riders in the sports’ history, is no stranger to sneaker collaborations having worked with Jordan Brand in 2014 on an Air Jordan 1 High OG colorway with a worn-away design. Here, the New York native takes on the Air Ship, the first shoe worn by Michael Jordan in the NBA in 1984. The “Bike Air,” as its also known as, features a white leather construction with a light blue suede Swoosh on the sides. A small tonal Swoosh is embroidered on the lateral side of the forefoot. “Bike Air,” a nod to Sylvester’s BMX roots, is printed on the back of the collar.
