The Todd Snyder x New Balance 992 “From Away” is a limited edition collaboration between the heritage menswear label and New Balance on the latter’s popular low-top shoe. For this foray between Todd Snyder and New Balance, the idea of a “rustic cabin in the woods filled with modern touches” inspires the bucolic design, according to Todd Snyder, which fits comfortably in the brand of casual Americana inspired clothing pushed forward by the fashion label. Contrasted by the sight of tan pig suede on various points on the upper, the base displays Todd Snyder’s duck camo print on a durable canvas material on the toe, forefoot, mid-panel, and collar. A light shade of tan can be picked up on the leather overlays on the forefoot, collar, and heel. A white leather “N” logo adorns either side. The Energy Red leather overlays sporting “992” detailing on the lateral side and “USA” branding on the back offer a burst of color and salute the red tartan flannels worn by outdoorsmen.
