The New Balance 990 V4 Made in USA “Grey” is a special release of the classic retro-inspired lifestyle shoe by New Balance from the footwear brand’s “MADE” collection. A November 2021 release, the classic “Grey” colorway of the 990 V4 honors the shoe’s 40th anniversary with a red “Version 4” nylon tab on the lateral side, a signature design element of the “MADE” series. The upper is constructed with a grey mesh base and tonal suede and pigskin leather overlays. True to the original design of the New Balance 990 V4, reflective “N” branding appears on either side of the shoe. “Made in America” detailing is printed on the tongue patch as a reference to the origins of the shoe’s manufacturing.
