The Asics EX89 “White/French Blue/Green” is a classic colorway of the shoe that borrows inspiration from the Asics Gel-Extreme silhouette that debuted in 1989. Inspired by the retro basketball shoe, the Asics EX89 features a decidedly vintage appearance that looks as fresh today as it did when the original Asics Gel-Extreme was first released in 1989. As far as its design, the shoe has a white leather construction with French Blue leather Asics branding on the sides. Green accenting is found on the inner lining, the “Asics” branding on the tongue, and on the lower eyelet overlay. Underfoot, a cream rubber midsole gives the sneaker a retro look.
