Jumpman Jack - Jack of All Trades

Jumpman Jack - Jack of All Trades

A look at Travis Scott’s new signature shoe and some of his most popular sneaker collaborations and clothing drops available at Stadium Goods.

Matt DeSciora

Travis Scott does it all. He’s a recording artist, a producer, and a clothing designer, too.

This April, the hip-hop star will officially add “sneaker designer” to his impressive list of accomplishments when his first signature shoe, the Jumpman Jack TR “Sail”, debuts on Nike’s SNKRS app.

The Jumpman Jack is a long time coming for Scott. Since 2017, he has been collaborating with Nike and Jordan Brand on iconic models like the Nike Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1. But the Jumpman Jack represents Scott’s first true signature shoe as a sneaker designer, and one of his most anticipated releases yet—music or otherwise.

From a design perspective, the Jumpman Jack draws favorably from classic Nike models Scott has collaborated on in the past, including the Dunk, Air Trainer 1, and Air Jordan 1. The Jumpman Jack’s grippy gum rubber outsole nods to skate shoes from the ‘90s and 2000s, while its midfoot strap is nearly identical to the design feature found on the Air Trainer 1. Its 3/4 height recalls the look and shape of the Air Trainer 1, Jordan 1, and the original design of the Air Jordan 4, as well as classic Nike tennis styles such as the Mac Attack (another shoe Scott has collaborated on.)

From a cultural perspective, the Jumpman Jack represents one of only a handful of non-athlete signature shoes released by Nike. In the late 2000s, Kanye West became the first non-athlete to have his own Nike signature shoe when the Nike Air Yeezy 1 was released. In the mid-to-late 2010s, fashion designers Don C and Jerry Lorenzo received their own signature models. But with all due respect to them, the Jumpman Jack is the most hyped Nike artist collaboration since Ye’s Air Yeezys back in the day.

To celebrate the release of the Jumpman Jack, we’ve put together a curated selection of some of Travis Scott’s most popular sneakers and streetwear drops available in our inventory. From the model we just talked about to the Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 to the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Phantom,” and favorites from his merch line, we’ve got a greatest hits-like collection of Travis Scott items right here.

Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR “Sail”

The “Sail” is a fitting choice for the launch colorway of Travis Scott’s first-ever signature shoe. As you’ll see below, the style’s color palette is definitely inspired by the hip-hop artist’s past collaborations.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Phantom”

Rather surprisingly, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Phantom” is one of Travis Scott’s most popular sneakers. The colorway isn’t as flashy as some of his other sneaker designs, but is definitely among the most versatile, which doesn’t seem to be lost on fans of the rapper’s work.

Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 High OG

Along with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design clothing brand, Travis Scott helped usher in the three-way collaboration trend in late 2021 with the release of both the Air Jordan 1 High OG and Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Military Blue.” Both styles feature signature Fragment and Travis Scott design elements, including industrial-style branding, Fragment’s lightning bolt logo, and Scott’s reverse Swoosh.

Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low “Special Box”

In addition to helping popularize the three-way collaboration trend, Travis Scott also played a key role in the Nike SB Dunk’s resurgence with his Nike SB Dunk Low release in 2020. A promo video released before the shoe’s debut included a clip of Scott rolling around on a skateboard filming various Nike SB team riders (while wearing his SB Dunk Low, of course.)

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack”

Travis Scott’s love of all things Houston shines on the Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack.” Why? The sneaker’s colorway is dedicated to the now-defunct Houston Oilers NFL football team, who relocated to Tennessee and became the Titans in the late ‘90s.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mocha”

For many collectors, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Sail/Dark Mocha” and Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Reverse Mocha” are the artist’s greatest sneaker designs to date. The shoe’s coffee-inspired accents and iconic reverse Swoosh are quintessential traits of a signature Travis Scott shoe.

Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sail”

The shoe that started it all. Travis Scott’s Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sail” is technically the rapper’s second shoe collaboration, but it's the first model he worked on with Nike. Many would say the release is his most polarizing. The model’s “Sail” canvas upper is subdued, but that big jeweled Swoosh and platinum grill lace charm and Cactus Jack tongue patch are decidedly not.

Travis Scott Merch

It would be impossible to list every single dope piece of Travis Scott merch, considering the line spans over a decade long dating back to the “Days Before Rodeo” era. So here’s a link to everything we have in our inventory related to Travis Scott clothing. Happy shopping.
