Eladio Carrión Breaks Sneaker Shopping Record At Stadium Goods
By
George Thompson |Before he was collaborating with Bad Bunny and winning Latin Grammy awards, Eladio Carrión had a much more humble gig: selling orthopedic footwear to old ladies. When Carrión came through Stadium Goods to film an episode of Sneaker Shopping, he told host Joe La Puma all about the experience and fondly recalled how some of the customers would even bring him food for lunch.
Carrión, who showed up to 47 Howard St rocking a pair of New Balance 1000s, also discussed his bootleg Heelys phase before talking about his relationship with New Balance, which began as a kid growing up in the DMV and has grown into him becoming a brand ambassador.
When it came time to browse the shelves, Carrión focused his attention on some of the hottest New Balance collaborations to drop in recent memory, including ones with Action Bronson, Joe Freshgoods, JJJJound, and Aimé Leon Dore.
But Carrión's biggest purchase was a surprise gift. He copped 165 pairs of New Balance 990V3 “Grey” as a present for each member of the Puerto Rican Olympic team that just competed in Paris.
